This position is with the Ohio Department of Public Safety – Bureau of Motor Vehicles/Driver License Suspensions/Compliance. The role involves responding to inquiries, requests for information, and complaints that require in-depth knowledge of applicable laws, rules, policies, and procedures. The assistant will greet and respond to in-person, telephone, and written inquiries professionally and courteously, ensuring positive customer service. Responsibilities include listening carefully, asking follow-up questions, providing accurate responses, and following up to ensure all customer concerns are addressed. The role also involves researching, evaluating, processing, and making decisions regarding inquiries and correspondence from various entities such as courts, attorneys, the general public, and other state agencies concerning public records, licenses, and driving privileges.
