Customer Service and Sales Representative
About The Position

This role offers a starting base salary of $15 per hour combined with additional income potential through a commission-based structure. Scout Pest Control is a fast-growing pest control company serving the Huntsville/Madison/Athens/Decatur areas. We provide our customers with an excellent, reliable, and effective pest control experience. We need a customer service/sales representative who is a great communicator, excellent at managing relationships, attentive to detail, and friendly. To be successful in this role, you will need to be friendly, organized, efficient, detail oriented, and an effective communicator. You will be interacting with our customers daily and having a friendly, patient, and respectful behavior is a must as you are representing our company.
Requirements
- Minimum of high school diploma.
- At least one year of office environment Customer Service, or one year of Sales Experience Required.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Communicates effectively with other office staff, sales reps, technicians, and customers.
Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service through phone, email, and in-person interactions.
- Assist customers with product inquiries, recommendations, and sales transactions.
- Proactively identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products or services.
- Build and maintain lasting relationships to foster customer loyalty and repeat business.
- Consistently meet or exceed sales goals to maximize your earning potential.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities.
- Collaborate with team members to drive overall sales success and customer satisfaction.
- Take incoming calls from customers and potential customers.
- Sell and upsell services as appropriate.
- Schedule appointments and ensure routes are efficient.
- Call new customers to welcome them to our service.
- Respond to text messages and emails.
- Prepare and review paperwork.
- Enter and receive payments from customers.
- Handle collections.
- Perform outbound calling/emailing/messaging to follow up with past leads.
- Answer phone lines.
- Ensure customers enjoy a friendly welcoming atmosphere.
- Perform tasks and enter data in the Pest Control Business Software.
- Assist office manager with duties as needed.
- Assist in saving customers who want to cancel.
- Answer sales line and sell new accounts.
- Upsell additional services to existing customers where appropriate.
- Follow up with customers.
- Assist with ensuring that business functions run smoothly.
- Assist in maintaining a positive working environment.
- Other Duties as Assigned
