About The Position

Bearingstar, a member of the Arbella Insurance Group, is a leading property and casualty insurance provider in Massachusetts and Connecticut. We are seeking motivated and self-driven individuals to join our team. This role involves acting as the agency representative to clients, professionals, and the business community, providing counsel on insurance needs, explaining coverages, identifying risk exposures, and managing renewal processes. The Customer Service Agent will also be the first point of contact for reporting and assigning claim information and resolving general customer inquiries. After an initial 90-day in-house training period, this position offers a hybrid work arrangement, with a few days in the office and a couple of days working from home each week.

Requirements

Experience with Personal lines of Insurance.
Customer Service skills.
Sales skills.
Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as a team player.
Self-starter.

Nice To Haves

A MA Property and Casualty license is encouraged.
Experience within the Personal Lines insurance industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

Act as the agency representative to clients, fellow professionals, the public, and the general business community.
Provide counsel and advice on new and/or additional insurance needs, explaining coverages and types of policies.
Identify risk exposures and qualify potential prospects.
Maintain an underwriting renewal review process and a marketing renewal review program for all policyholders.
Act as the first line of contact in the reporting and assignment of claim information for designated policyholders.
Resolve general customer inquiries.
