Hydro One is seeking a Customer Operations Support Representative for their Thunder Bay location. This role involves providing advice and support to customers regarding new service, electrical energy applications, and inspection requirements. The representative will handle customer inquiries and complaints related to service disruptions, emergencies, and various technical issues. They will also manage general billing inquiries, update customer data, and respond to external organizations. The position requires operating the Customer Operations Centre (COC) switchboard, monitoring personnel locations, and relaying information to field crews during normal operations and emergencies. Additionally, the role involves processing new service requests, upgrades, water heater installations, and managing associated payments and documentation. A significant part of the job includes operating an online computer terminal for data entry, updates, and reporting on various system programs, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. The representative will also generate cost estimates for damage claims, work orders, and prepare final sketches for line construction. They will screen and input work reports, monitor and process work order variances, and perform clerical functions related to line extensions, subdivisions, and competitive pricing contracts. The role also involves handling cash transactions, arranging for equipment maintenance, managing purchase orders and invoices, and processing daily time sheets and expense reports. Other duties include making arrangements for utility locates, supporting corporate policies, and performing various clerical and administrative tasks.
