Customer Growth BDR

TradeCentric•Raleigh, NC
•$65,000 - $120,000•Remote

About The Position

TradeCentric is hiring a Customer Growth BDR to identify new-logo opportunities within the broader corporate organizations of existing customers. The role maps corporate families and reaches sister companies, new locations, divisions, and other business units that may operate separate P&Ls, commerce platforms, or buyer relationships. The representative qualifies opportunities and hands them to Account Executives as Sales Qualified Leads, distinguishing net-new business from add-on business managed by Customer Success. Reporting to the BDR Manager, the role works with Account Executives, Solution Engineers, and Customer Success using the Same Side Selling methodology. It is a new position whose playbook and approach will be shaped by the representative. The company offers structured onboarding, coaching, call reviews, and development pathways into Account Executive and other sales-related roles. The position is 100% remote, with a preference for candidates in Raleigh, Chicago, Boston, Charlottesville, or Minneapolis, while considering candidates elsewhere. The base salary range is $65,000–$75,000, with OTE of $100,000–$120,000. Final compensation depends on skills, experience, and qualifications. Success is measured by net-new SQOs generated from the existing customer base against monthly and quarterly targets. With onboarding and coaching, the representative is expected to reach full SQO productivity within 90 days of hire.

Requirements

  • 1 to 3 years of BDR, SDR, or account development experience; B2B SaaS or technology experience preferred.
  • Track record of meeting or exceeding pipeline targets.
  • Strong research skills and curiosity about complex corporate structures.
  • Experience prospecting into multi-stakeholder, technically complex sales.
  • Confidence on the phone and sound judgment balancing new-business goals with customer trust.

  • Strong CRM discipline; Salesforce experience preferred.
  • AI fluency, including use of generative AI and signal-data tools for research and prospecting.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in account-based or install-base selling.

Responsibilities

  • Build corporate family maps for assigned customer accounts, including parent companies, subsidiaries, sister companies, acquisitions, divisions, and locations.
  • Identify separate P&Ls, budgets, commerce or ERP platforms, and buyer relationships; prioritize entities by fit and potential.

  • Coordinate with Customer Success on introductions and referrals to decision makers.

  • Execute and help develop sequences and messaging for the Customer Growth playbook.

  • Apply net-new qualification criteria and route add-on business to Customer Success rather than Sales.
  • Advance leads from SQL to SQO according to qualification criteria and provide well-documented handoffs to Account Executives.
  • Follow rules of engagement for ownership and timing; route service issues, renewal risks, and customer satisfaction signals to the appropriate owner.
  • Capture and share customer insights, including initiatives, organizational changes, and competitive activity.
  • Participate in territory planning and account-mapping sessions with Account Executives, Solution Engineers, and Customer Success Managers.
  • Accurately track activity, account hierarchies, contact data, and disqualification reasons in Salesforce and Gong.
  • Monitor SQL-to-SQO conversion and share weekly updates on SQOs against target and whitespace coverage.
