About The Position

As a Customer Experience Banker, you serve as a financial concierge for walk-in customers. You help retain and grow consumer and business customer relationships by identifying financial goals and needs and recommending suitable deposit, loan, and other banking products and services. You process transactions accurately and efficiently, deliver exemplary customer service, and educate customers about the bank’s products, services, and technology. The role is based in an office workplace. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; Huntington does not sponsor applicants for immigration benefits for this position.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED and at least one year of customer service experience or military service in administration, contracting, civil affairs, or a similar role; alternatively, a bachelor’s degree.
• Must meet additional background-check requirements, including providing fingerprints as required by NMLS regulations.
• Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of customer service experience in banking, financial services, or goal-driven retail sales.
• Cash-handling skills.
• Comfort using technology such as mobile services and online banking services.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and effectively resolve customer issues.
• Understand consumer deposit products and consumer lending, and educate customers about them.
• Identify opportunities to grow customer relationships through a disciplined sales process, a new-customer follow-up program, outbound calling, and referrals from customers and partners.
• Educate customers and refer them to other areas of the bank to deepen relationships and build partnerships.
• Adhere to operational, security, risk, and regulatory policies and procedures.
• Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
