About The Position

As a Customer Experience Banker, you serve as a financial concierge for walk-in customers. You retain and grow consumer and business customer relationships by identifying financial goals and needs and recommending appropriate deposit, loan, and other banking products and services. You process customer transactions accurately and efficiently, provide exemplary customer service, and educate customers about bank products, services, and technology. The role is based in an office. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; Huntington will not sponsor applicants for immigration benefits.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of customer service experience or military service in an administration, contracting, civil affairs, or similar role; alternatively, a bachelor's degree.
• Subject to additional background checks, including providing fingerprints as required by NMLS regulations.
• Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year of customer service experience in banking, financial services, or goal-driven retail sales.
• Cash handling skills.
• Comfort with technology, including mobile services and online banking services.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and effectively resolve customer issues.
• Understand consumer deposit products and consumer lending, and educate customers about them.
• Proactively grow customer relationships through a disciplined sales process, new-customer follow-up, outbound calling, and referrals from customers and partners.
• Educate customers and refer them to other areas of the bank to deepen relationships and build partnerships.
• Follow operational, security, risk, and regulatory policies and procedures.
• Apply sales, customer service, relationship management, banking, consumer lending, business banking, business lending, communication, and presentation skills.
• Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
