About The Position

As a Customer Experience Banker, you serve as a financial concierge for walk-in customers. You retain and grow consumer and business customer relationships by identifying financial goals and needs and recommending appropriate deposit, loan, and other banking products and services. You also process customer transactions accurately and efficiently, provide exemplary service, and educate customers about the bank’s products, services, and technology. The role is based in an office and is part of a welcoming, inclusive branch team.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of customer service experience, or military service in administration, contracting, civil affairs, or a similar role; alternatively, a bachelor’s degree.
• Subject to additional background-check requirements, including providing fingerprints as required by NMLS regulations.
• Demonstrated acumen in sales, customer service, relationship management, banking, consumer lending, business banking, business lending, communication, and presentation.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year of customer service experience in banking, financial services, or goal-driven retail sales.
• Cash-handling skills.
• Comfort with technology, including mobile services and online banking services.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and effectively resolve customer issues.
• Understand consumer deposit products and consumer lending, and educate customers about them.
• Identify opportunities to grow customer relationships through a disciplined sales process, new-customer follow-up, outbound calling, and referrals from customers and partners.
• Educate customers about and refer them to other areas of the bank to deepen relationships and build partnerships.
• Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Follow operational, security, risk, and regulatory policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
