About The Position

This position works with assigned ecommerce accounts to submit approved product content to accounts web content management system. Position is frequently responsible for creating customer specific, product-based content for assigned accounts, including images, specifications and attributes. This includes sourcing and collating product information from our vendors, importing the data into our system and formatting the information to be clear, concise and ultraprecise. There are three levels of this position: Junior, Specialist and Senior roles, which are differentiated by related experience and complexity of account management responsibility.

Requirements

  • Associates degree
  • Working knowledge of MS office, with proficiency with Excel spreadsheets data entry and manipulation.
  • Very strong internet browser experience.
  • Proficiency with Photoshop is preferred.
  • Prior experience in utilizing proofreading skills, identifying grammatical and spelling errors
  • High level of attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks, problem solve and manage to deliverable dates.
  • Strong oral/written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Team orientation and ability to support others during high volume or shifting priorities
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, memos and technical information.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
  • Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with frequent changes and realignment of priorities.
  • Ability to problem solve independently.

Responsibilities

  • Manage content for assigned ecommerce accounts, which includes populating and submitting customer set up sheets, rich content sheets and databases/portals using product data, images, assets from the Almo Product Content database.
  • Identify and correct errors (ie. images dont match descriptions, missing icons, spelling) and contribute to improving product hierarchy, sorting and search results.
  • Proofread, edit and proactively review content to ensure accuracy and consistency with copy, images and product presentation while meeting established deadlines
  • Maintain communication with Fulfillment to ensure the workflow and efficiency of ones individual workflow supports sales goals and sales potential.
  • Collect attributes, spec sheets, marketing copy, images or digital assets from available sources (including suppliers) needed for item setup in the master data content system.
  • Communicate with internal customers in response to content needs.
  • Participate in special projects as required.
  • Effectively set up and proactively maintain/optimize product listings that leverage all opportunities to maximize visibility of products and increase sales for each specific customer
  • Become customer SEO & algorithm expert to properly serve the customer’s unique needs and opportunities through content
  • Be proactive in staying relevant on digital landscape changes & best practices to “win” on customer platforms
  • Build and work towards metrics to evaluate and increase content quality, build reoccurring procedures to ensure we are proactively gathering all elements necessary to build on site
  • Be in lock step with account Sales teams on priorities for new item set ups and optimization
  • Close the loop on all content execution: any content that is built must be checked for correct execution and accuracy
  • Manage and utilize account retail readiness checklists and style guides in product setup planning and in optimizing content
  • Keep up to date documentation and account requirements to have “Best in Class” content for each category by customer
  • Be involved up front in new item and optimization conversations with marketing managers to communicate content needs for your assigned customers
  • Communicate any updated requirements or new opportunities to marketing team
  • Work directly with Sales to understand any changes to account standards and priorities
  • Become familiar with specific account requirements to update parts and troubleshoot issues & be aware of the little things that could prevent updates from going through successfully/kicked back
  • Communicate any account/portal issues that would prevent making updates
  • Conduct competitor analysis to identify content gaps and determine the value of existing content
  • Be proactive about maintaining missing attributes or content info for customers, focuses on ad SKUs and focus list provided from sales team
  • Implement dashboards managing tasks and priorities
