About The Position

Notion is seeking a Customer Content Marketing Lead to own the narrative of how Notion tells customer stories across all formats, platforms, and regions. This is a highly visible and impactful role within the marketing team, with significant support from the CEO and leadership. The company believes in the power of collaboration and AI to strengthen teams, and this role will be instrumental in showcasing this through compelling customer narratives. The ideal candidate will be a builder, working with a small team but leveraging the full resources of Notion's creative, product marketing, and demand generation departments. The primary focus is on shipping exceptional work that resonates with customers and the market.

Requirements

  • Exceptional writing skills, capable of crafting compelling narratives for various formats including customer stories, creative briefs, video scripts, and web copy.
  • Strong visual taste and design aptitude, with the ability to conceptualize and communicate visual ideas through storyboards, wireframes, or rough mockups.
  • Proven ability to ship projects end-to-end and work with a sense of urgency.
  • Experience thinking in campaigns and connecting individual stories into larger narratives.
  • Understanding of the current ecosystem and zeitgeist, with a keen eye for high-impact storytelling opportunities.
  • Curiosity and willingness to adopt AI tools to enhance work efficiency and outcomes.
  • 10+ years of relevant and transferable experience.

  • Experience producing content across multiple mediums (video, written, web, social) and understanding of format-specific strengths.

Responsibilities

  • Create customer stories that demonstrate Notion's value and impact.
  • Own the end-to-end customer storytelling process, from customer identification and narrative crafting to asset production across written, video, web, and emerging formats.
  • Produce a high volume of world-class customer content on a consistent basis.
  • Develop and execute campaign-level strategies for customer stories, integrating them with product launches, brand moments, and broader company narratives.
  • Design and implement a global story engine, including playbooks, templates, and infrastructure to enable regional teams in EMEA and APAC to produce high-quality customer stories.
  • Pioneer and scale initiatives that empower customers to share their own Notion journeys on their channels.
  • Manage the distribution and presence of customer stories across various surfaces, including notion.com/customers, sales enablement materials, and event content.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, including Storytelling, Product Marketing, Demand Generation, Regional Marketing, and Performance/Lifecycle Marketing, to ensure cohesive and impactful storytelling.
