About The Position

Acts as retail area associate include activities such as creating/maintaining a customer-friendly retail environment, ensuring product is displayed according to company guidelines, and ensuring retail area presents a positive, customer-centric image.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of experience in a RETAIL environment.
  • High School or Diploma, or equivalent
  • Demonstrated ability to merchandise products creatively to drive sales
  • Highly Organized
  • Basic computer skills
  • Outgoing personality with a positive approach
  • Must be able to work retail hours, which might include nights and/or weekends.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions. and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write fluently in English.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Driving is essential to the duties, must have and maintain a current valid driver’s license and a clean driving abstract

Responsibilities

  • Maintains general cleanliness standards, both inside and outside of the store, ensuring fixtures are clean and in good repair, floor is clean and free of clutter, windows are clean and free of unnecessary stickers or signage, and parking lot is free of rubbish daily.
  • Processes e-Planogram updates in point-of-sale system to ensure information is always current and available.
  • Ensures ePlanogram updates are completed on time and to plan.
  • Ensures all price labels are updated on a weekly basis and conduct regular price label checks, using the hand-held RF scanner
  • Reports any issues with price labels back to the Store Leader or Store Co-leader on a timely basis
  • Ensure all products within the planogram are forward facing and pulled to the front of the shelf (front and faced)
  • Proactively manages any out of stocks and conduct an ‘out of stock’ scan using handheld RF scanner, daily, ensuring stock is always full and on show.
  • Reports any potential safety or hazard issues to management.
  • Merchandises the store to the highest standard, ensuring all displays are always clearly priced, full of product, front and faced.
  • Maintains professional appearance and hygiene; Ensure work uniform and name badge always worn.
  • Reads and acts on all retail communication and associated tasks.
  • Completes and remains current with all mandatory manufacturing, safety compliance, safeguards, and cybersecurity training.
  • Assists with the annual Store Parts Inventory and periodic inventory events.
  • Additional tasks as needed to maintain a customer-centric retail environment
  • Other duties assigned by Store Leader or GM.
