About The Position

The Customer Billing Representative supports the Billing team by performing a variety of clerical and administrative tasks. This role involves assisting clients with billing questions, submitting insurance claim paperwork, and facilitating month-end statement processing.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate effectively with Clients and Doctors.
  • Enter mailed check payments into Practice Management System.
  • Retrieves information as requested from records, email, minutes, and other related documents.
  • Facilitate delivery of certified collection letters to USPS monthly or as needed.
  • Facilitate deposits runs including electronic Check depositing and trips to company bank for cash deposits.
  • Assist with internal billing.
  • Maintains and updates customer files, including name or address changes, mergers, or mailing attentions.
  • Sends correspondence for standard past-due accounts and collections, identifies delinquent accounts by reviewing files, and contacts delinquent accountholders to request payment.
  • Communicating with clients that have overdue balances.
  • Generating monthly billing statements.
  • Copies, files, and retrieves materials for accounts receivable as needed.
  • Managing assistant in matching ambulatory payments to invoices.
  • Manage payment Que.
  • Manage unassigned payment report.
  • Manage Missing invoice report pulled from schedule.
  • Assist Veterinarians in completing requested insurance paperwork for equine patients.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Answers and transfers phone calls, screening when necessary.
  • Creates reports regarding the current status of customer accounts as requested.
  • Research customer discrepancies and past-due amounts.
  • Relays changes of information to appropriate employees.
