About The Position

MongoDB is hiring a Customer Advocate, Office of the Chief Customer Officer. This is a high-impact opportunity to work directly with the CCO and senior leadership across the company, helping drive MongoDB’s most important customer relationships and operating rhythms. The primary focus of the role is customer advocacy — ensuring MongoDB’s top customers and partners have exceptional experiences that deepen relationships and accelerate mutual growth. This includes preparing for, joining, and following up on CCO-level customer and partner meetings, working cross-functionally with Sales, Product, and Marketing to ensure the right preparation, alignment, and follow-through. In addition to this customer-facing work, this role will partner closely with the Chief of Staff to help integrate our customers' proof points into our CCO strategic priorities, goal tracking, and the weekly executive meeting. The role provides a unique opportunity to learn the inner workings of a fast-scaling company and contribute directly to shaping its customer strategy and execution. This role can be based remotely in the United States.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years owning strategic customer portfolios with direct accountability for C-level customer relationships and cross-functional initiatives
  • Ability to structure and synthesize ambiguous information into clear insights and actionable recommendations
  • Deep empathy for customer needs and the ability to translate those into business outcomes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; proven ability to interact with senior executives and customers with polish and confidence
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to drive alignment across multiple teams
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and has a high sense of urgency to get things done
  • Interest in software, AI, and data technology; ability to quickly understand MongoDB’s products and strategy

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the CCO and Chief of Staff to prepare for high-priority customer and partner meetings — crafting thoughtful briefings, coordinating input from internal stakeholders, and ensuring clear follow-up and accountability
  • Join customer meetings with the CCO and senior executives, acting as an advocate for the customer and a connector between the CCO, Sales, and Product teams
  • Build a deep understanding of MongoDB’s strategic accounts, identifying patterns, opportunities, and challenges that inform company strategy
  • Ensure the CCO’s external engagement reflects MongoDB’s top priorities and amplifies our customer-centric culture
  • Proactively monitor customer announcements, market developments, and industry signals to identify moments where MongoDB can re-engage strategically. Surface relevant insights to the CCO and help initiate timely outreach to executive customer stakeholders
  • Partner closely with the Chief of Staff to translate customer insights into strategic priorities for the CCO, ensuring learnings from the field inform key initiatives and identifying customers to pilot and shape new programs
