Requirements

  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • 3+ years of inside sales, customer service, or account management experience (manufacturing setting preferred)
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, ever changing environment
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to interpret prints or manufacturing terminology is a plus
  • Experience with ERP systems, Microsoft Office, and CRM tools preferred
  • Self-motivated with strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Team-oriented mindset with a customer-first approach
  • Must be responsive to internal and external customer inquiries with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding detailed written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to problem solve on your own/ability to make decisions on your own.

Responsibilities

  • Manage customer accounts and maintain strong day-to-day relationships
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding quotes, lead times, order status, and capabilities
  • Work closely with the Account Manager on quote follow up, or strategic initiatives
  • Enter quote requests, review completed quotes for margins and lead times, and email completed quote to customer.
  • Coordinate closely with estimating, engineering, purchasing, and production teams
  • Process sales orders and ensure accurate entry into ERP systems
  • Monitor open orders and proactively communicate schedule updates or delays
  • Assist with identifying new business opportunities within existing customer accounts
  • Support Account Managers efforts through account management and administrative support
  • Maintain accurate customer records, pricing information, and sales activity
  • Help resolve customer concerns quickly and professionally
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on customer service and operational efficiency
  • Access customer portals.
