About The Position

Kforce has a client in Waltham, MA that is seeking a Customer/1 Billing Business Analyst with proven experience in the Energy and Utilities sector. Roles and Responsibilities: Requirement Gathering - Work with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements Data Management & Reporting - Analyze billing data, generate reports, and ensure compliance with financial regulations System Enhancements - Collaborate with developers to implement updates and enhancements in the mainframe billing system Issue Resolution - Identify and resolve billing discrepancies, ensuring seamless operations Compliance & Documentation - Maintain documentation for billing processes and ensure adherence to industry standards Stakeholder Collaboration - Act as a bridge between business teams and IT to align billing system functionalities with business goals 4-7 years of experience as a Business Analyst in large-scale utility or CIS projects 2+ years of hands-on experience with Customer/1 (C1) billing processes or system enhancements Strong understanding of Energy and Utilities operations, including meter-to-cash, billing, rates, and customer data management Proficiency in requirements gathering, business process mapping, and stakeholder communication Experience working in Agile or hybrid project environments

Requirements

  • 4-7 years of experience as a Business Analyst in large-scale utility or CIS projects
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with Customer/1 (C1) billing processes or system enhancements
  • Strong understanding of Energy and Utilities operations, including meter-to-cash, billing, rates, and customer data management
  • Proficiency in requirements gathering, business process mapping, and stakeholder communication
  • Experience working in Agile or hybrid project environments

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of SQL or ability to query data for validation and analysis
  • Exposure to automation, data migration, or modernization initiatives
  • Previous experience working with the company or other large systems integrators
