About The Position

The Custom Upstream Consumables Manager is responsible for leading the timely execution of Custom Upstream consumables deliverables, with a primary focus on on-time delivery of technical drawings and commercial quotations. Based in Duncan, SC, this role partners closely with Custom Engineering, Sales, Product Management, and Manufacturing to ensure customer requirements are translated into accurate, competitive, and punctual solutions that support business growth and customer satisfaction. This role requires strong project management discipline, technical understanding of custom consumables, and the ability to drive accountability across cross‑functional teams. This position reports to the Sr. Manager, Upstream Custom ITO and is part of the CUSP Team located in Duncan, SC and will be an on-site role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or related field
  • At least 8 years of experience in engineering, sales, or operations roles
  • Prior experience with stakeholder management
  • At least 2 years’ experience as a team lead or alternate leadership function.
  • Familiarity with digital systems: Magic, Sales Force, Windchill, Solidworks, etc.
  • Project management skills with ability to set project objectives, manage timelines, and track project deliverables
  • Excellent written, presentation, and oral communications skills

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of Custom Engineers working on key initiatives & projects, drive accountability to meet project goals, manage performance and career growth opportunities for the team.
  • Support Commercial activities and be the champion and key escalation point for Single use consumable designs and quotes.
  • Ensure on-time submission of drawings and quotes, meeting or exceeding internal SLAs and customer commitments.
  • Leverage Danaher Business Systems to work with team on continuous improvement initiatives to improve operational efficiency.
  • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to turnaround time, quality, and adherence to commitments.
  • Drive continuous improvement in quote and drawing cycle time, accuracy, and standardization.
  • Monitor workload, capacity, and resource allocation to ensure responsiveness and scalability.
