Custom Molding Manager

About The Position
The Custom Molding Manager will serve as the primary technical contact for all custom molding business. This position oversees a team of employees and leads them in the design, manufacturing, and quality control processes for Tier 1 customers. The Custom Molding Manager will also work closely with RealTruck Sales on new products for future business growth.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment leading new product development, manufacturing processes and quality controls.
- Previous experience in Tier 1 design and manufacturing processes.
- Experience in fiberglass design and manufacturing with the following processes tooling, molding, extrusion, sheet metal and assembly.
- Previous experience in a training role required.
- Valid Driver's License
- Skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Office 365.
- Skilled in ERP or MRP software.
- Ability to organize and communicate actions clearly and effectively.
- Ability to present information clearly and easily understood.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to develop and address training needs for various disciplines and develop sensible training documentation that leads to standardization in the training process.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the product design and manufacturing process for custom molded business and continuous improvement.
- Evaluate and monitor the product from initial quoting through the manufacturing process to ensure customer quality specifications are being met.
- Manage and partner with the Tier 1 customer on product specifications and designs as well as changes to these.
- Direct the PPAP (production part approval process) approval process.
- Work with Quality to resolve customer complaints and quality concerns.
- Work with Purchasing to source external components per the customer specifications.
- Work with technical resources, both internal and external, on new technologies and process improvements.
- Partner with sales on new product feasibility and quotes for future business growth.
