About The Position

Southern Staircase, part of Edge Building Solutions, is hiring an experienced Custom Handrail Installation Specialist to install premium railing systems on high-end residential new-construction and renovation projects in Charlotte, North Carolina. This full-time, hands-on, field-based position involves frequent travel to project sites, with travel exceeding 75% of the time. The schedule is Monday through Friday, and additional hours may be needed depending on project schedules. The specialist works with wood, metal, glass, and cable railing systems, interpreting drawings and layouts, taking precise measurements, and applying math and geometry to achieve accurate fit and alignment. The role requires following building codes, project specifications, and installation standards while maintaining clean, organized, and safe work areas. The specialist coordinates with the Installation Manager on project progress, materials, and installation needs, and is expected to provide professional workmanship and a positive customer experience. The role pays $28–$32 per hour depending on experience. A $1,000 sign-on bonus and relocation assistance for qualified candidates are offered. Requirements

At least 5 years of handrail installation experience.
Strong background in finish carpentry, trim work, and detailed installations.
Ability to read blueprints, interpret layouts, and take accurate measurements.
Strong math and geometry skills for precise installation work.
Valid driver's license and clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
Must be at least 21 years old.
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physical work in active construction environments.
Willingness to travel frequently, with travel exceeding 75% of the time.
Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and commitment to quality.
