About The Position

The Custom Framing Designer builds customer relationships by creating memorable framing solutions for customers’ art, helping customers find products in the store, and maintaining a safe, clean, and clutter-free environment. The role delivers sales and production results while completing framing orders to a high standard of quality and on time. The position also supports store operations, including maintaining the ready-made frame department and assigned areas, replenishment, truck unloading and stocking, cash register operation and cash handling, shrink and safety programs, and omnichannel processes. The designer is expected to provide friendly customer service and interact with customers and coworkers in an accepting and respectful manner. Work takes place primarily in a public retail store. Public areas are climate controlled, while some stock rooms may not be; occasional outdoor work may occur when retrieving carts or unloading trucks. The frame shop contains a glass cutter and heat press. Work hours include nights, weekends, and early mornings.

Requirements

Basic computer skills.
Basic measuring skills.
Ability to operate framing equipment and a glass cutter.
Ability to bend, lift, carry, reach, and stretch regularly; move throughout the store; and remain standing for long periods.
Ability to lift heavy boxes and frames and access high shelves using a ladder or similar equipment.

Responsibilities

Follow Standard Operating Procedures and company programs, policies, and standards to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements.
Build customer relationships and create custom framing solutions using the company’s Elevated ABC Deliver approach.
Deliver sales and production results.
Complete framing orders with a high degree of quality and on time.
Maintain the ready-made frame department and other assigned areas, including SISO and Directed Replenishment.
Provide friendly customer service, help customers locate products, and offer solutions.
Maintain a well-merchandised and in-stock store.
Support shrink and safety programs.
Interact with others in an accepting and respectful manner, remain positive in difficult situations, and promote the organization’s vision and values.
Participate in truck unloading and stocking, following truck standards and completing work within budget.
Operate the cash register and handle cash according to standards.
Assist with omnichannel processes.
Perform other duties as assigned.
