Requirements

  • Proven fabrication background featuring 3+ years of verifiable experience in custom metal fabrication or structural welding; a related trade degree or certification is highly valued.
  • Industrial equipment mastery with a flawless track record of safely setting up, adjusting, and operating complex heavy forming and cutting machinery.
  • Advanced technical literacy, including the absolute ability to fluidly read blueprints and apply practical shop mathematics (fractions, decimals, and basic geometry).
  • Natural leadership mindset with the sophisticated communication skills required to train junior personnel and collaborate seamlessly with operations leadership.
  • Physical stamina and dependability, including the comfort to work efficiently in a non-climate-controlled environment, a strong safety-first work ethic, and excellent daily punctuality.
  • Must meet ITAR Requirements (US Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident).

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate and modify specialized components, heavy structural fixtures, and high-value custom production assemblies completely from the ground up.
  • Operate a comprehensive suite of machinery including industrial press brakes, heavy shears, plasma cutters, and multi-process manual and automated welding equipment.
  • Command specialty equipment maintenance, diagnosing structural wear, repairing complex tooling, and designing custom internal shop fixturing to optimize workflow.
  • Execute precision material lining and refractory tasks, including the meticulous mixing, pouring, and forming of specialized compounds during system rebuilds.
  • Drive shopfloor execution by spending 95% of your shift actively crafting parts, with 5% dedicated to organizing team workflows and reviewing project schedules.
  • Provide elite technical mentorship and proactive safety guidance to fabrication assistants, ensuring an efficient, zero-defect production footprint.
