About The Position

Touchmark at Mount Bachelor Village is hiring a full-time Custodian in its Housekeeping department. The role focuses primarily on general custodial duties throughout the resort-style campus and offers the opportunity to contribute to a team serving senior residents. The minimum starting salary is $20.30 per hour, depending on experience. No experience is necessary.

Requirements

• No experience is necessary.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Genuine interest in caring for elderly residents and working in a geriatric environment.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be able to pass a drug and background test.
• Able to work holidays and weekends.
• Patient, tactful, and flexible when dealing with residents, family members, volunteers, visitors, physicians, staff members, and the general public.
• Willingness to perform a variety of tasks; problem-solving ability and resourcefulness.
• Commitment to confidentiality and willingness to continue learning and improving skills.
• Ability to maintain patient and tactful composure when dealing with residents, family members, team members, and guests.

Responsibilities

• Operate all necessary equipment to perform the position’s essential functions.
• Perform custodial duties in accordance with Touchmark Gold Standards.
• Notify a supervisor or management team when repairs are needed.
• Keep a supervisor informed about changes in equipment performance and supply needs.
• Maintain a clean environment and healthy atmosphere for residents, guests, and team members.
