About The Position
This is an emergency hire position for a Custodian within Facilities Management and Development. The role involves cleaning and maintaining assigned areas, responding to custodial emergencies, and providing support for campus events. The position requires adherence to specific shift times and a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment.
Requirements
- Any combination of training, experience, and/or education sufficient to demonstrate the required skills.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license or the ability to obtain by date of hire.
- Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
Responsibilities
- Dust and clean all surfaces.
- Remove trash and recyclables.
- Clean and disinfect restrooms and replenish supplies.
- Clean glass doors, windows, and blinds.
- Clean off graffiti.
- Clean furniture and upholstery.
- Clean light fixtures.
- Polish woodwork and metal surfaces.
- Clean stairwells, walkways, and elevators.
- Perform general housekeeping.
- Sweep, vacuum, spot clean, and fully clean carpets.
- Respond to custodial/clean emergencies.
- Serve as a special event custodian, participating in campus event set-up and clean up.
