About The Position

The DLP Services, LLC is currently accepting applications for the position of Custodian. This role is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of a facility and the surrounding grounds to meet customer and client satisfaction. The position is classified as Part Time and pays $12.00 hourly. The primary duties involve performing major cleaning tasks, ensuring restrooms are clean and disinfected, washing windows, filling dispensers, and stocking supplies. The role requires the ability to walk up and down stairs frequently, as well as regular bending and standing throughout the daily shift. The Custodian receives supervision from a Supervisor and has no formal assigned supervisory responsibility. The position requires the ability to complete jobs without constant supervision. The principal duties are performed in an indoor and/or outdoor environment, involving standing and walking for prolonged periods. Physical work, including heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling of objects up to 55 pounds, is a primary part of the job. The work environment may involve exposure to hazards or risks requiring safety precautions, and may include moderate exposure to elements such as extreme temperatures, cleaning chemicals, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises. This position is subject to the DLP Services LLC, Drug-Free Workplace Policy.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED.
Must pass a federal background check.
Effective interpersonal/communication skills.
Ability to understand written and verbal communications.
Ability to understand verbal instructions.
Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
Effective grooming skills.
Able to operate electronic devices for clocking in/out procedures.
Ability to operate vacuums and other related equipment.
Ability to safely use cleaning equipment and supplies.
Ability to lift, push/pull, and manipulate heavy objects up to 55 pounds.

Valid Texas Drivers’ License Class C.

Responsibilities

Perform Major Cleaning Tasks Such as Vacuuming (using a 25lb. vacuum daily)
Wet Mopping
Sweeping
Dusting
Emptying Trash (lifting wastepaper and debris-minimum of 55lbs.)
Cleaning and Disinfecting Drinking Fountains.
Clean Restrooms, including Floors and all Fixtures (i.e.: Urinals, Toilets, Sinks, Mirrors, Partitions, and Counters).
Ensure Restrooms are Clean and Disinfected.
Wash Windows and Sill (Door Glass).
Filling Dispensers
Stocking Supplies in restrooms
Must be able to Walk Up and down stairs frequently, as well as Regular Bending and Standing as needed in a daily shift.
