About The Position

Performs general cleaning duties and monitors maintenance conditions. This role involves sweeping, mopping, stripping, sealing, finishing, and buffing floors, as well as vacuuming, pre-spotting, and cleaning carpets and upholstered surfaces. The Custodian will also clean and sanitize restrooms and showers, maintain an uncluttered environment, identify and report possible safety hazards, and close buildings at the end of the day to ensure security. Additional duties include washing windows, disposing of waste and litter, removing marks from walls, performing routine maintenance such as replacing light bulbs, and reporting maintenance conditions to the supervisor. The role also involves supervising and training student workers as needed. Requirements

• Ability to communicate in an articulate manner.
• Ability to work independently.
• Knowledge of cleaning products and appropriate usage.
• Ability to run necessary cleaning machines and tools.

• Previous custodial experience preferred.
