About The Position
The Custodian role is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and general upkeep of the facility. This includes routine cleaning tasks, ensuring sanitary conditions in common areas, managing waste, performing minor repairs, and contributing to facility security.
Requirements
- Ability to perform routine cleaning tasks.
- Knowledge of sanitation procedures.
- Experience with waste management.
- Skills in handling basic maintenance and minor repairs.
- Understanding of facility security protocols.
Responsibilities
- Routine Cleaning: Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors; dust furniture; and clean mirrors, glass partitions, and windows.
- Sanitation: Deep clean and disinfect restrooms, breakrooms, and kitchens, while restocking necessary supplies (like soap and paper towels).
- Waste Management: Empty trash and recycling bins, and safely transport waste to designated disposal areas.
- Minor Repairs: Handle basic maintenance, such as changing light bulbs, fixing leaky faucets, or repairing minor wall damages.
- Facility Security: Lock and unlock buildings, secure premises after operating hours, and monitor for safety hazards.
