About The Position
Mission Linen Supply is seeking a Custodian to maintain housekeeping throughout the plant and offices, as well as outdoor parking lots, loading and unloading areas, lawns, and walkways. The role involves cleaning floors, walls, windows, offices, overhead areas, and grounds; handling furniture and trash; and transporting cleaning supplies and equipment. The work may involve moving mechanical parts and occasional exposure to high places, outdoor weather, fumes or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals. The position is described as full-time, with starting pay of $16.50 per hour, based on education, experience, other qualifications, and assignment location. Requirements
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and occasionally climb or balance.
- Close and distance vision.
Responsibilities
- Sweep, mop, hot wash, vacuum, and periodically wax floors.
- Wash walls and inside windows.
- Clean offices, move furniture, gather and dispose of trash, and clean light fixtures, window tops, and ledges.
- Clean overhead areas such as pipes and machinery using compressed-air hoses or cloths.
- Pick up litter, sweep, and perform general groundskeeping around the plant, parking lot, lawns, and walkways.
- Assemble and transport cleaning supplies and equipment to designated areas.
