About The Position
Perform daily custodial duties, moving of furniture, and delivery of supplies. Duties include cleaning of offices, sweeping, vacuuming, and trash removal. Cleaning of carpet, mopping floors, cleaning windows and office furniture. Responsible for floor finishes including stripping, waxing, and buffing hard floor surfaces. This position also requires heavy lifting of up to 100 pounds when assisting other Facilities Services staff to move furniture and deliver supplies. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school graduation or its equivalent; or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- At least one year of experience.
- Safe operations of custodial equipment.
- Safely operate equipment and use cleaning chemicals
- Use hand tools and other specialized equipment
- Understand and follow instructions
- Communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Work effectively and cooperatively with co-workers
