About The Position

Pueblo Diversified Industries (PDI) is a mission-driven Colorado nonprofit corporation serving individuals with disabilities and commercial, business, and government customers. PDI emphasizes compliant, ethical, accurate, timely, informed, professional, and respectful service, with a focus on the health and safety of individuals served and the satisfaction of its business partners. This is a weekend-only custodial position at Fort Carson, with hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The hourly rate is $17.75–$18.75.

Responsibilities

Follow procedures for the safe use of chemical cleaners and power equipment.
Check electrical appliances and equipment before use according to safety procedures.
Notify the supervisor and recommend equipment repair or replacement.
Follow all safety rules, policies, and procedures.
Mix and prepare cleaning solutions according to manufacturer specifications and PDI safety guidelines.
Sweep, scrub, wax, and polish floors.
Clean rugs, carpets, and upholstered furniture.
Dust furniture and equipment.
Polish metalwork.
Wash walls, ceilings, and woodwork.
Wash windows, door panels, and sills.
Empty wastebaskets.
Transport trash and waste to the disposal area.
Replenish bathroom supplies.
Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum hallways and office space.
Transport small equipment or tools between departments.
Set up tables and chairs in the lunchroom, work centers, and other areas as required.
