About The Position

Pueblo Diversified Industries (PDI), a mission-driven Colorado nonprofit corporation, is hiring a part-time custodian for weekend work at Fort Carson. The schedule is 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The hourly pay range is $17.75–$18.75. The role performs custodial cleaning and facility upkeep while following PDI safety guidelines and applicable procedures. Duties include preparing cleaning solutions, cleaning floors and furnishings, handling waste, replenishing bathroom supplies, and moving small equipment or arranging furniture as needed. PDI emphasizes professional, respectful, accurate, and timely service, with attention to the health and safety of individuals served and the satisfaction of business partners.

Responsibilities

Follow procedures for the safe use of chemical cleaners and power equipment.
Check electrical appliances and equipment for safety before use.
Notify the supervisor with recommendations about equipment repair and replacement.
Follow all safety rules, policies, and procedures.
Mix and prepare cleaning solutions according to manufacturer specifications and PDI safety guidelines.
Sweep, scrub, wax, and polish floors.
Clean rugs, carpets, and upholstered furniture.
Dust furniture and equipment.
Polish metalwork.
Wash walls, ceilings, and woodwork.
Wash windows, door panels, and sills.
Empty wastebaskets and transport trash and waste to the disposal area.
Replenish bathroom supplies.
Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum hallways and office space.
Transport small equipment or tools between departments.
Set up tables and chairs in the lunchroom, work centers, and other areas as required.
