Technician I - Weekend Shift: Fri - Sun from 5:00am to 5:30pm
About The Position
This is an entry-level manufacturing position for an associate who may have little or no experience with manufacturing machines or process operations and may have limited technical skills. The associate performs non-complex jobs or operates repetitive machines and processes according to prescribed routines or obvious operating methods. They follow demonstrated steps and make simple adjustments to produce to general specifications. The position develops hand-assembly and packaging skills and requires a working knowledge of acceptable product quality, processes, and procedures. With or without training, the associate can safely operate machines or processes, though they may have little or no knowledge of setup or troubleshooting. The schedule is Friday through Sunday, 5:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., at Innovize LLC in Saint Paul, Minnesota. The listed pay range is $18.47 to $21.00 per hour.
Requirements
- High school education or equivalent.
- Proficient PC skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail oriented, positive attitude, and a team player.
- Able to speak, understand, and write English.
- Able to lift 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
- With training, able to read and understand print drawings.
Nice To Haves
- Up to 2 years of manufacturing experience preferred.
- Medical manufacturing experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Communicate rate deficiencies to management according to work instructions.
- Perform quality process inspections according to quality department procedures and engineering work instructions, and document results as required.
- Contribute to the company’s safety, quality, and production goals.
- Report unsafe working conditions to management.
- Make accurate entries in the computer time clock system.
- Develop satisfactory packaging and assembly skills.
- Read and understand basic prints.
- Meet safety, documentation, profit contribution, on-time delivery, product and service quality, attendance, and personal learning and development goals.
- Implement improvements to current and new production runs with supporting documentation.
