About The Position

Arcosa Wind Towers, Inc. is seeking a Custodian to perform heavy-duty cleaning and related maintenance work in an assigned area or building complex. The position is based in Belen, New Mexico, and follows a Friday, Saturday, and Sunday shift. The work environment includes plant, warehouse, production and non-production areas, and plant grounds. The role may require maintenance coverage beyond normal hours or the assigned shift, including weekends and holidays, and requires tolerating high and low temperatures and manufacturing-plant noise. The Custodian is expected to complete training, maintain acceptable attendance, use and maintain cleaning tools and power equipment, and perform custodial maintenance of required areas. The employee must observe and follow all safety practices and procedures, including using required safety glasses, safety boots, and hearing protection, and may participate in safety committees and initiatives as assigned. This is a safety-sensitive position. The successful candidate will contribute to Arcosa's focus on caring for customers, optimizing operations, activating the potential of its people, and integrating sustainability into daily practices and long-term strategy.

Requirements

At least one year of experience.
Ability to operate necessary equipment and machinery.
High school diploma or GED.
Ability to tolerate high and low temperatures and loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant.
Ability to work beyond normal hours or the assigned shift and on weekends or holidays when required.
Observe and follow safety practices and procedures, including wearing required safety glasses, safety boots, and hearing protection.

Responsibilities

Successfully complete training as a Custodian.
Maintain attendance within acceptable standards.
Use and maintain hand tools and power equipment required for cleaning and general facility maintenance.
Clean and sanitize restrooms, showers, and their fixtures.
Empty wastebaskets and trash containers and assist with recycling and composting.
Sweep, dry mop, wet mop, scrub, and condition a variety of floor surfaces.
Vacuum and shampoo carpets and furniture.
Replace toilet paper, paper towels, and other restroom supplies as needed.
Clean walls, windows, mirrors, vents, display cases, and other surfaces.
Set up and remove furniture for special events.
Perform custodial maintenance of required areas.
Be aware of and observe required safety practices, and follow all safety rules and procedures.
Participate in safety committees and initiatives as assigned.
