About The Position
The Custodian performs cleaning duties within Draper's buildings. Responsibilities include removing trash, cleaning assigned areas, restocking supplies, mopping and disinfecting, and keeping areas orderly. The position may require selected applicants to obtain and maintain a government security clearance. This is a part-time, second-shift position in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The listed US base salary is $27.58 per hour-equivalent as presented in the posting; compensation details reflect base salary only and do not include bonuses or benefits.
Requirements
- Ability to follow written and/or verbal instructions.
- Skill in operating various floor-cleaning and buffing machines.
- 0–2 years of experience in a custodial or related role.
- Selected applicants may be required to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
Nice To Haves
- High school education or equivalent is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Clean floors by vacuuming and buffing, shampoo rugs, wash walls and glass, empty trash receptacles, and replace trash-can liners.
- Clean and service restrooms using mops and disinfectants.
- Restock supplies.
- Assist with floor stripping and waxing using high-speed buffing machines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
