About The Position

This position is responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure a safe, sanitary, and pleasant environment for students, staff, and visitors. The Custodian will work a 12-month/6-hour shift, typically in the afternoon/evening.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Previous custodial or cleaning experience preferred.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment and tools.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Must complete a seven-year work history, including periods of unemployment, in the 'Experience and Credential' section of the application.

• Experience in a school or institutional setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming floors.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and floors.
• Empty trash receptacles and replace liners.
• Clean windows, doors, and other surfaces.
• Perform minor maintenance and repairs as needed.
• Report any safety hazards or maintenance issues to supervisor.
• Assist with setting up and cleaning up for school events or activities.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines.
