About The Position
Under general supervision, to perform routine custodial tasks in the care and cleaning of a school building and grounds; to do other related work as assigned. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Cleans and maintains assigned school buildings and grounds; sweeps, dusts, mops, waxes, and buffs floors; cleans restrooms, showers, and locker rooms; cleans walls, windows, chalkboards, and doors; empties trash and recycling receptacles; operates cleaning equipment such as buffers, scrubbers, and vacuum cleaners; performs minor repairs and maintenance such as replacing light bulbs, tightening screws, and unclogging drains; may assist with groundskeeping duties such as mowing lawns, trimming hedges, and raking leaves; may assist with setting up for school events and activities; may operate a school bus or other district vehicle for transporting materials or supplies; performs related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must complete the entire three (3) year work history in the "Experience and Credentials" section of your application including periods of unemployment, schooling and volunteer work.
Nice To Haves
