About The Position

The YMCA of Delaware is seeking a part-time Custodian for the Sussex YMCA Family Location. This role is crucial in ensuring the cleanliness and orderliness of the building facility and property, contributing to the YMCA's promise of improving the health and wellbeing of individuals and families, and uniting communities.

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Maintain and keep building facility and property in clean and orderly condition such as sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, dusting, and vacuuming in addition to gathering and emptying trash.
Ensure all restrooms, locker rooms, hallways, stairwells, program rooms, fitness centers and outside grounds are clean and safe.
Move furniture and equipment as required to properly and thoroughly clean areas including windows.
Assist with setting up rooms for meetings and events and breaking down of seating and equipment.
Ensure bathroom supplies including and not limited to, toilet tissue, towels, soap etc. are refilled.
During winter months be prepared to assist with snow removal.
Perform light maintenance tasks as assigned.
Notify managers regarding the need for repairs.
