About The Position
The Custodian performs cleaning duties within Draper's buildings. This role involves removing trash, cleaning assigned areas, restocking supplies, mopping and disinfecting, and maintaining an orderly environment. Draper is an independent, nonprofit research and development company focused on solving important national challenges through innovative solutions in areas such as military defense, space exploration, and biomedical engineering.
Requirements
- Ability to follow written and or verbal instructions.
- Skilled in operating various floor cleaning and buffing machines.
- 0-2 years experience in a custodial or related role.
- Applicants selected for this position may be required to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
Nice To Haves
- High School Education or equivalent is preferred
Responsibilities
- Performs cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors by vacuuming and buffing, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, emptying trash receptacles, and replacing lining of trash cans.
- Cleans and services restrooms with mops and disinfectants.
- Restocks supplies.
- Assist with floor stripping and waxing using high speed buffing machines.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
