About The Position

Our mission of the Louisiana Veterans Homes is to serve the Veteran population of Louisiana through the provision of custodial services in an atmosphere of respect and compassion. Join the State of Louisiana Department of Veterans Affairs at the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Home, where you'll step into a role as a Custodian 1, 2 or 3 that combines sanitation and infection control with excellence genuine care for those who served. You'll maintain cleanliness for the facility which services over 150 veterans.

Requirements

• No experience or training required.

Responsibilities

• Works in the housekeeping department, includes extensive daily cleaning, mopping, disinfecting the veterans rooms and the entire building.
• Discuss evaluations and performance, provide by the Custodian Supervisor A, which she recommends disciplinary actions when needed, and conflict resolution.
• Assure Quality Assurance through audits and staff in-services, aiding in improvement in the custodian department and adherence to policy and procedure standards.
• Reports resident complaints and incidents, collaborating with Custodian Supervisor A to ensure all complaints and incidents are properly handled.
• Safety, maintain a safe, clean and effective work environment for residents and employees.
