About The Position

This part-time custodian position involves performing cleaning and maintenance activities. The role requires understanding and following verbal or written instructions, reading warning signs, and performing tasks such as trash removal, dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and disinfecting restrooms. The custodian will also be responsible for snow removal, retaining training information on custodial methods, equipment, and products, and working with student employees. This role involves communication and interaction with the University community and serving as a liaison with the Department of Public Safety. Additionally, the position requires maintaining product inventory and making independent decisions to achieve acceptable cleaning standards using appropriate methods, products, and equipment.
