About The Position

Applications are being accepted for an 8-hour custodian position at Leonard Lawrence Elementary School. The custodian is responsible for the general care and upkeep of assigned areas of the buildings, grounds, and equipment. Duties include fundamental cleaning skills, lifting, following directions, and the ability to physically handle the setup and teardown of activity events. To a lesser extent, the custodian assists with maintenance support. The custodian's assignment is subject to changes in areas and duties within this job description. The custodian is responsible for carrying out the instructions of the custodial leader and the building administrator. In addition, the candidate may be required to mow, trim hedges, and remove snow, which may require working flexible hours in inclement weather. Candidates must enjoy working around children and be able to work well with others as a team. This position is subject to a veterans preference. Duty hours are typically Monday through Friday, from 2:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m. Communication regarding this employment opportunity (including interview requests) is communicated via email.
