About The Position

We are seeking to hire a custodian team member. The primary responsibilities include maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of assigned areas, ensuring that all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. This involves sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, operating cleaning machinery, and disinfecting surfaces. Employees will also be responsible for restocking supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper in restrooms, seat covers, and trash bags, as well as emptying trash and recycling bins. Any maintenance issues or safety hazards must be reported to the supervisor promptly, following safety procedures and perform other tasks as directed by the HBM supervisor. We are looking for individuals who are reliable, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently or as part of a team. Prior experience in a similar role is a plus, though not mandatory, as training will be provided. Join us in creating a clean and welcoming environment for everyone!

Requirements

  • Must successfully complete the HBM prescreen check
  • Ability to comprehend verbal and written instructions in English
  • Capable of performing basic manual labor, including cleaning common areas
  • Use of a buffer machine, side by side scrubber, ride behind, and leaf blower
  • Frequently lifting, pushing, pressing, pulling, and carrying a minimum of 25 lbs. (up to 50 lbs.)
  • Reaching overhead, grasping objects, bending, kneeling, crawling, squatting, climbing, stretching, and walking up and down stairways
  • Using elevators, climbing ladders, and standing for extended periods throughout shifts

Nice To Haves

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred
  • Previous experience in custodial, housekeeping, or similar fields is preferred
  • A valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle are preferred, but not essential
  • Strong public relations and communication skills
