About The Position

We are excited to be adding a Custodian to the MAC Trailer Team. Our Custodian keeps the facilities, throughout the shop and office, in clean, orderly condition and performs heavy and light cleaning duties assigned. MAC Trailer Enterprises, Inc., and its affiliates are the nation’s foremost manufacturer of dump, platform, pneumatic tank, liquid tank, refuse trailer and dump bodies, manufacturer sold under the MAC, Beall® and Trailstar brands. Summary Keep area of assignment building interior clean and orderly condition and performs heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish. Performs duties, such as cleaning washroom and/or lavatories including minor repair and maintenance activities.

Requirements

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance, instructions, and procedures.
Skills in basic measurements to facilitate efficient and safe cleaning material mixtures.
Ability to work alone or as a team.
Demonstrate the ability to interpret and understand both verbal and written forms of communication including necessary information regarding safe assignment of work. Continued demonstration of the ability to work individually or as a member of a team.
Ability to work assigned shifts.
Ability to work in all seasons of weather outside or in production manufacturing environment.
Ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time without being distracted.

Nice To Haves

Previous custodial experience is preferred.
Experience or knowledge in tractor trailer building or service & repair is preferred.
Experience in manufacturing or mechanical related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform and abide by safety policies and procedures while performing related assignments.
Service, clean, or supply restrooms.
Gather and empty trash.
Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
Follow procedures for using chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
Notify managers about major repairs or additions to building operating systems needed.
Requisition supplies or equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.
Clean windows, glass partitions, or mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, or squeegees.
Clean and organize work areas during and at the end of the shift.
Organize and restock needed parts and materials.
Assist other employees as needed and instructed.
Performs assignment of duties in cycles that correspond and support shift staff schedules.
Clean & keep organized the area in which you work during and at the end of the shift.
