About The Position

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Custodian member to join our team on the beautiful island of Kauai. The custodian plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. Key responsibilities include performing routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting, as well as sanitizing, cleaning restrooms, replenishing supplies, managing waste disposal and recycling processes. They may be required to set up or break down furniture for events and ensure that all areas are secure after cleaning. A successful custodian should possess attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team, contributing to the overall upkeep and functionality of the building.

Requirements

Must pass prescreen check
Willingness to train
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness standards
Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively
Good communication in English and teamwork skills
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday
Capable of performing tasks in any type of weather
Physically capable of carrying, lifting, pushing, pulling a minimum of 25 pounds to 50 pounds, standing for extended periods, and performing tasks such as stretching, kneeling, bending, crawling, climbing and pressing

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
Previous custodial or cleaning experience preferred
Valid Hawaii Driver's License preferred
