About The Position

The Custodian performs routine cleaning tasks and minor maintenance to help ensure a safe and sanitary environment for occupants of Schweitzer facilities. The role includes cleaning restrooms and lodging facilities around the Schweitzer base area, including outhouses, and setting up and tearing down banquet and wedding functions.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Be able to lift 25–50 pounds and repeatedly bend, twist, lift, pull, push, kneel, climb, and squat.
• Be able to stand or walk for the entirety of the shift.

Nice To Haves

• Current and valid driver's license.
• Some computer skills.
• General knowledge of Schweitzer facilities.
• High school diploma or GED.
• One year of experience in a related position; willing to train.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain restrooms and lodging facilities around the Schweitzer base area, including outhouses.
• Clean locations by vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, wiping windows, and dusting.
• Remove trash from public indoor areas and stock and organize storage closets.
• Perform deep cleaning using a buffer, extractor, and carpet cleaner; strip and seal floors as necessary.
• Perform minor repairs, including touch-up paint jobs.
• Set up and tear down banquet functions by moving and placing tables, chairs, and other furniture.
