About The Position

The primary purpose of the custodian is to facilitate the cleanliness of the plant. This role involves performing basic daily janitorial tasks, ensuring all areas of the plant, including floors, restrooms, and break rooms, are kept to company standards. The custodian will also be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the parking lot and fence line, following a detailed cleaning schedule, and assisting with various cleaning-related tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

Perform basic daily janitorial tasks as directed.
Ensure that floors are swept in aisles and under machinery.
Empty all trash receptacles.
Blow down plant as requested for lint.
Move/relocate items as requested by Plant Manager or Plant Supervisors.
Assist with cart washing.
Assist with cleaning tools as requested.
Ensure that restrooms are cleaned daily in accordance with company standards, including scrubbing toilets, sinks, faucets, mirrors, walls, and baseboards.
Keep the break room free of trash, wipe down tables, walls, baseboards, ice machines, and clean inside windows.
Ensure no garbage is under tables in the break room.
Keep the vending area clean and dusted.
Clean up and mop spills immediately.
Keep the parking lot and fence line immediately surrounding it trash free and linen free.
Follow a detailed cleaning schedule.
Perform any other duties as assigned or deemed necessary.
