About The Position

GRBS is hiring a part-time custodian to clean Byron Center Public Schools. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., with one scheduled weekend per month, for 27.5 hours per week. The pay rate is $16.50 per hour.

Custodians serve public school customers by completing routine cleaning tasks and other assigned cleaning work. GRBS describes its employment as honorable and safe, and says it values diversity, equity, and inclusion and aims to create a workplace where everyone has an opportunity to succeed.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have valid identification.

• Due to Michigan public school requirements, applicants with theft-, violence-, or drug-related backgrounds will not qualify for employment.

Responsibilities

• Arrive at work consistently.
• Follow the GRBS process.
• Communicate mindfully and respectfully with everyone.
• Complete work according to the building map and shift requirements.
• Vacuum, mop, dust, clean restrooms, and remove trash.
• Complete other cleaning tasks as assigned.
