About The Position

The Custodian Shift Supervisor assists the Sustainability Custodial Management in the maintenance of casino structures, facilities, and grounds by managing day-to-day activities of subordinate Team Members. Directly supervises all work, work projects, special projects, and overall maintenance, repair, and cleanliness of all faculties.

Requirements

High School diploma or GED certificate.
Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Facility Management, or related field or equivalent work experience.
Three years of prior experience in a facilities department.
Two years of prior experience in a supervisory or management position.
Intermediate computer proficiency utilizing Microsoft applications, email, and internet.
Willingness to work flexible schedules in a 24/7 work environment, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
Must apply for, receive, and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Agency.
Native American hiring preference applies.

Responsibilities

Works closely and cooperatively with all other building and maintenance Team Members, all outside contractors, consultants, managers within the gaming operations, and appropriate personnel.
Sets schedules for Team Members and assigns work.
Responsible for maintenance of cleaning equipment.
Ensures that all work is performed in compliance with applicable tribal, state, federal safety, and worked protection laws.
Works with management to plan, schedule, and budget routine building and grounds maintenance activities.
Completes Team Member evaluations and recommends personnel actions as appropriate.
Keeps timecards and other paperwork.
Takes requests for work and schedules accordingly.
Reports to the Sustainability Custodial Manager any situations that may require attention or potential problem areas beyond their daily responsibilities.
Assists with Casino promotional events, meetings, seating arrangements, and holiday decorations.
Maintains awareness of utilities locations, electrical panels, A/C unit thermostats etc. and follows proper procedures should they require attention.
Coordinates with other shift supervisors to ensure efficient use of labor and materials.
Trains, mentors, develops, coaches, resolves problems, provides open communication vehicles, and recommends disciplinary actions as appropriate.
