About The Position

We are seeking a reliable, self-motivated Custodian / Maintenance Helper to join our Facilities team and help keep our building in pristine condition. In this role, you will perform a variety of daily cleaning and routine maintenance tasks to ensure our facility remains safe, clean, and functioning smoothly. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently, takes pride in maintaining a great environment, and wants to work closely with our Facilities Manager to keep operations running seamlessly.

Requirements

• Solid foundation in cleaning practices.
• Ability to perform basic maintenance and repairs with minimal supervision.
• Basic math skills.
• Excellent time management.
• Comfortable working on your feet for an 8-hour shift.
• Comfortable working in an environment that includes production area noise and exposure to cleaning solvents.
• Able to regularly lift up to 30 pounds on your own, and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
• Works well when supervisors are not present.
• Takes initiative.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning and upkeep of the building.
• Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors.
• Clean and stock restrooms.
• Manage daily trash collection and disposal.
• Ensure cleaning supplies are well-stocked.
• Prioritize safety when handling cleaning products and equipment.
• Tackle minor building repairs.
• Safely clean up spills.
• Lock up the building securely after hours.
• Notify supervisors or managers of larger, more complex maintenance issues.
