About The Position
The Custodian / Janitor keeps buildings clean and orderly and performs heavy cleaning duties, including cleaning floors, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish. This is a full-time, first-shift position at 9905 S. 13th Street, Oak Creek, WI 53154. The schedule details are provided upon interview. The pay rate is $17.00 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Collect and dispose of trash following approved procedures and infection control plans.
- Dust and damp mop floors following approved procedures.
- Move equipment and furniture to clean properly, then return furniture to its correct placement.
- Clean assigned areas using assigned materials and equipment, and sanitize all surfaces.
- Follow the eight-step cleaning procedure.
- Wash walls, windows, furniture, baseboards, and other items to maintain a clean, safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
- Identify areas that require cleaning and take initiative to complete the work.
- Complete all tasks assigned by the supervisor.
- Perform tasks in accordance with federal, state, and county guidelines.
- Strip, scrub, buff, and refinish floors; shampoo carpet.
- Contribute to the team and exhibit professionalism with customers, fellow employees, and others.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
