About The Position

This role is responsible for ensuring clean and sanitary facilities according to company safety procedures, guidelines, and federal, state, and local laws and regulations. The Custodian IV also assists in facility support, provides administrative support to the department, and completes work assignments and priorities. This position requires adherence to company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity, demonstrating respect for individuals, acting with integrity, serving customers and members, and striving for excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures clean and sanitary facilities according to company safety procedures and guidelines and federal, state, and local laws and regulations by wearing personal protective equipment, emptying waste receptacles and recycle bins, dusting, sweeping and wet mopping, stripping and waxing floors, cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms and showers, vacuuming and spot cleaning carpets, cleaning electronic devices, and identifying and reacting to additional cleaning needs.
  • Assists in facility support by setting up rooms for special events, performing minor maintenance and repair activities, collecting and transporting recyclables, disassembling and cleaning drug dispensers, and reporting facility issues to management.
  • Ensures quality custodial services by assisting Manager with inventory, project implementation, and scheduling, planning and conducting meetings with associates, inspecting projects, developing and implementing modifications and improvements, recommending specifications and scheduling for contracts, and addressing staffing shortages and emergencies.
  • Provides administrative support to department by ordering materials and supplies, providing input into the development of the operating budget, and monitoring and tracking expenditures of the section.
  • Completes work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources, collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and other business partners, identifying priorities, deadlines, and expectations, carrying out tasks, communicating progress and information, determining and recommending ways to address improvement opportunities, and adapting to and learning from change, difficulties, and feedback.
  • Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans, using the Open Door Policy, and applying these in executing business processes and practices.
