Custodian II (Manheim)
About The Position
This role provides routine custodial services for an assigned building, facility, or grounds. The Custodian II uses cleaning supplies and equipment to maintain a clean and professional interior environment. They perform routine cleaning tasks according to a schedule set by Facilities management, and also maintain outer premises by watering plants, mowing lawns, and disinfecting surfaces. The position may involve the use of insecticides to prevent pest infestations and assists with minor repairs such as lightbulb replacement, fixing door handles, or repairing minor leaks. The Custodian II must follow all health and safety regulations and policies.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous custodial or groundskeeping experience preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record required.
- Must be able to work independently.
- Effectively communicate and interact with staff, management and customers.
- Efficiently multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk and hear.
- Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat and climb.
- Medium strength. Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Vision abilities required include close, distance and color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Must clear a pre-employment drug test (marijuana excluded for this position).
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Responsibilities
- Provides routine Custodial Services for an assigned building, facility or grounds.
- Uses cleaning supplies and equipment to keep the interior of the building / facility looking clean and professional.
- Performs routine cleaning tasks based on a schedule created by Facilities management.
- Maintains outer premises by watering plants, mowing the lawn (if necessary) and disinfecting / cleaning surfaces.
- May utilize insecticides to prevent infestation by pests.
- Assists with minor repairs, such as lightbulb replacement, replacing broken switches, fixing door handles or repairing minor leaks.
- Follows all health and safety regulations and policies.
